Search bar
Search is a powerful feature in Catalog.
At any moment you can press the following shortcuts to execute a search:
- From a mac: ⌘ + K
- From a PC: Ctrl + K
Quick Search Results
The search is performed through all elements in the Catalog App.
Quick search shows the top results in within Tables, Dashboards, Visualisation models and Knowledge

Advanced Search Results
You can access advanced search results by clicking "Show more"
Advanced search results allow to filter by result type:
- Tables
- Columns
- Dashboards
- Visualisation models: Explores (Looker), data sources (Tableau), data sets (PowerBI & Sigma), and apps (Qlik)
- Fields
- Knowledge
Additionally, in the advanced search you can also filter results by:
- is Certified
- has PII
- Tags - columns and assets tags - you can chose AND / OR / EXCLUSION behaviors
- Owner - Individual contributor or teams - you can chose AND / OR / EXCLUSION behaviors

Left Hand Menu
One of Catalog's key feature is to allow you to search for your data. You can either search through the left hand menu or through the search bar, accessible from everywhere in the App.
